To commemorate the 70th anniversay of the death of Jim Connell and the 1st anniversary of the monument in Crossakiel, come back to Crossakiel on the 24th of April 1999.    Assemble at the monument at 6:45 pm.  Addresses will be given by Des Geraghty, Vice President of SIPTU, Mary Turner, President of the GMB and Cllr. Sean O'Shea of Lewisham Borough Council.  From 7 pm on, there will be music and song in the pubs of Crossakiel.  Performers will include Des Geraghty, Jimmy Kelly, Martin Whelan, Noel Pocock, Jimmy Jordan and lots more.
