The ECPR
Standing Group on
Parliaments was founded in 2005, and has currently over 200 members.
The
Standing Group’s aim is to promote comparative research and theory
building on
the institutionalisation, capacity, operation, and performance of
legislatures
and the dissemination of such research.
The aim
of the Summer School on Parliaments is to
provide a mechanism for young scholars of national, regional and/or
trans-national parliaments to enhance their theoretical and analytical
toolkit
as well as received feedback on their particular research agenda. In
addition
the programme will provide an opportunity for participants to network
with each
other and with more senior, well established, legislative scholars.
Target audience: Doctoral students and junior
scholars
with research interests in the areas of parliamentary and legislative
studies.
In addition, the Summer School may be of interest to junior
professional
researchers attached to the research and administrative services of
national
and regional parliaments.
