In 1990 and 1990, DCU's Colum Kenny was commissioned by RTÉ 1 television
to produce two special, long debates on the future of broadcasting,
entitled WHAT'S IN THE BOX.
These were the first-ever live current affairs TV programmes
commissioned by RTÉ.
He created a company entitled OX PICTURES to do so.
The initiative was praised in THE IRISH TIMES by its leading political commentator
Dick Walsh and in THE IRISH INDEPENDENT by its editor.
