Limerick Killings

Glesson claims that these killings were carried out by two Auxiliaries based in Dublin - one called George Nathan. O’Farrell says that the killings were carried out by presumedly the Cairo Gang. He says that it was assumed that the Cairo Gang when they failed to find the Bishop Fogarty of Killaloe at home, took Mr O’Donoghue instead.  However, he gives the date of the putative drowning of Bishop Fogarty as 3rd December 1920. (O’Farrell states that Clancy was ex-Lord Mayor and O’Callaghan was Lord Mayor and Hopkinson gives an incorrect date on page 118.)
