Courtmartial of the five IRA men captured at Drumcrondra

The five IRA men are Frank Flood (19 yrs old from 30 Summerhil Parade, a third year engineering student, single, a lieutenant in H Company, 1st Battalion, Dublin Brigade IRA); Patrick Doyle (29 yrs old from 1 St Mary's Place, a carpenter, married with one child and wife pregnant with twins, a member of F Company, 1st Battalion, Dublin Brigade, IRA); Thomas Bryan (22yrs old from 14 Henrietta St., an electrician, married with no children); Bernard Ryan (20 yrs old from 8 Royal Canal Terrace, apprentice tailor, member of F Company, 1st Battalion, Dublin Brigade) and Dermot O'Sullivan (17 yrs old).  The trial lasts two days and all are found guilty.  All are sentenced to death, except O'Sullivan whose sentence was commuted to penal service for life because of his age.
