Welcome to my Web page. I am a Lecturer in OSCAIL - the National Distance Education Centre, Dublin City University, Dublin 9, Ireland. My research interests include the applications of learning technologies to distance education; quality of online teaching and learning; improving access to third level education; cost-effectiveness in the delivery of education and the relevance of learning theories to online teaching environments. A number of my publications are available online.

eLearning Strategy Staff Consultation Document

I am currently working on developing an eLearning Strategy for Dublin City University along with my colleague, Dr Kay MacKeogh. We recently (September 2008) produced a detailed staff consultation document. A blog has also been put online where DCU staff are requested to give feedback/make comments on the consultation document.

As part of the eLearning Strategy development process, we will be providing links to various eLearning Resources. These will be available soon.

Chronology of Irish History 1919-1923

I am also interested in the 1919-1923 period of Irish history and a chronology of this period is available here.
