The Seminars: what we're looking for:
Most seminars will see two sets of two-students give consecutive 10-15 minute presentations based on a course reading. Presenters should seek to:
i) give a (very) brief summary of the piece
ii) identify and draw out those aspects of the piece that they feel are most pertinent to the key questions of this subject (i.e. what is the relationship between technology and society?).
Students will not be directly assessed on their seminar presentation. Rather it is anticipated that the presentation will form the basis of/or be derived from a written piece of no more than 1,500 words. This written piece will account for 20% of your overall assessment.
To identify the seminar group to which you belong follow your class link (on the left) . From there you can identify when you are due to give a seminar and what your reading will be.
