Cable Companies

NTL - Claim to serve (provide cable television to) one million Irish consumers (approx. 300,000 homes)

Chorus (Formerly Princes Holdings) - Through Chorus Limited (PHL) the Independent Group has a 50% interest (the rest owned by Liberty Media) in a cable/MDS company that currently serves 260,000 customers spread over 70% of Ireland and passes (i.e. could potentially serve) 600,000 homes homes in Ireland. Although originally largely focused on service provision in the Limerick area, Prince's Holdings acquisition of Cable Management Ireland Ltd. (CMI) and and Suir Nore Relays Ltd effectively allows the company to provide services in all 26 counties of the Republic.
