I am a founder member of the Setanta project launched by An. Taoiseach. This was a collaborative project between the School of Computing and St. Aidans School. The purpose of this research project was to develop an intranet system for use in the context of Irish Secondary schools. This project ran from 1999-2002.

Theme: Research-Based Practice
I registered for my PhD at the University of Bath, UK in 2001. At the time, I came upon Theodore Rosak's statement that "We do not bring the full resources of self to the computer". I wanted to contribute to the development of a scholarship of educational enquiry and bring the 'I' into the centre of our educational enquiries.
