Extensive use is made of Online Learning Environments (OLEs) such as Moodle and WebCT throughout the e-learning programme.

MATHEMATICS
Understanding Central Symmetry: Pupils in Fionnuala Flanagan's class developed their own flash animations.
(Explanation - The girls had difficulty understanding central symmetry. They felt that by getting the bird to drag the triangle through the central point of the x and y axis (0,0) that it was visually easier to comprehend.)

 
Multiplication by Ciara Brangan (a Primary school teacher)
A simple Flash animation including voice, demonstrating the use of animation to help understand multiplication process.

 
Angles by Ciara Brangan (a Primary school teacher)
The Flash animation will go through the various types of angles - righ angle, acute, obtuse and straight. Real life objects are included - wheels, a car, the hands of a clock to make a link between angles and concrete objects.
