Nathalie Walker was appointed CEO of the DCU Educational Trust in August 2016. As CEO, Nathalie is responsible for the overall strategy and future development of the Educational Trust. Prior to joining DCU, Nathalie worked for the Cambridge Judge Business School in her role as Director of External Affairs. Her role encompassed all key externally facing activities for the business school, including alumni relations, fundraising, marketing, events, press and public relations and corporate relations. She has also acted as Head of Alumni Relations for the University of Cambridge, where she created, developed and implemented strategies to educate and engage the University's 210,000 graduates living in more than 180 countries as advocates and ambassadors on behalf of the University. She previously worked as Head of Alumni Relations at both Said and Warwick Business Schools.
Nathalie is also a key member of CASE, the professional body for advancement professionals, and chaired the European Institute in Alumni Relations for three years. She holds a degree from Cambridge (History and Management Studies) and is a graduate of the second Executive MBA cohort at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
Ms Pat Edmondson

Pat Edmondson joined DCU Educational Trust in August 2016. Her role as Associate Director focuses on the development, cultivation and stewarding of a portfolio of both individual and corporate relationships. Pat works closely with the Director of Development, the Development Team and the University staff and students to further the mission and objectives of Dublin City University. Before joining the Trust, Pat headed up corporate fundraising in Young Social Innovators. She has over 20 years’ experience in sales and business development across a number of sectors including medical devices, biomed, engineering, renewable energy and hospitality sectors. She is also a non-executive director of the Dublin Well Woman Centre. Pat holds an Honours BA in Molecular Genetics and an MSc in Manufacturing Engineering, both from Trinity College Dublin.
Ms Georgina Garford

Georgina Garford joined the DCU Educational Trust in June 2013. As Prospect Research Manager, Georgina is responsible for identifying and researching potential major gift donors including alumni, individuals, corporations and foundations. She also manages the Educational Trust’s alumni database and is responsible for tracking and managing relationships with donors and potential supporters. Georgina came to DCU Educational Trust from the Cambridge University Development Office, where she worked in a number of positions, most recently as Manager, Prospect Research. Prior to that she was the Fundraising Research Officer for @t Bristol, Bristol’s Millennium Project. She has an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Bath.
Ms Orla Holmes

Orla Holmes joined the DCU Educational Trust in 2001. As Director of Operations, Orla oversees the daily operations of the Trust team including the event management of donor recognition undertakings, benefactor receptions, fundraising briefings and special events. Since starting with the Trust, Orla has played a leading role in managing a number of significant university events including the DCU President’s Inauguration, DCU Campaign Launch and two visits by US presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton amongst visiting dignitaries and business delegations receptions. Orla manages the Trust’s interaction with the DCUET Board of Trustees around the coordination of quarterly board meetings and the annual board retreat. The Director of Operations furthermore manages the Human Resources of the Trust and acts as counsel to the Chief Executive Officer on all personnel matters and policies. The Director of Operations is a member of the Trust’s executive management team and oversees the work of the Executive Administrator and the Communications Manager. Prior to joining the Trust, Orla worked within the corporate and pharmaceutical sector, chiefly in operational management and marketing capacities. Orla holds qualifications in Administration and Computer Applications.
Mr Charlie Lamson

Charlie Lamson joined the DCU Educational Trust in August 2016. As Director of Development, Charlie leads the work of the Trust's Development Team to raise awareness and support for the Dublin City University "Shaping the Future" Campaign, Access Scholarship Programme and other critical university projects. Charlie works closely with the Trust's CEO to develop and implement long-term fundraising strategies to further the aims and mission of Dublin City University. He has over 14 years’ experience in development roles in the not-for-profit sector. Prior to joining the Trust, Charlie worked as Head of Development for human rights organisation Front Line Defenders and as Corporate Relationship Manager with Boston Children's Hospital. Charlie holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Middlebury College and a Master's Degree in Social Change and Development from The John Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.
Ms Mary McHale

Mary McHale joined the DCU Educational Trust in March 2016. As PA to the Trust’s CEO, Mary provides executive assistance to the Chief Executive Officer across a wide range of personal administrative duties. Mary also maintains front of house stewardship including handling of the main incoming lines, greeting and assisting visitors and responding to routine enquiries. Mary maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and administers the day to day operations and needs of the department. Mary further updates and maintains the office databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and client information. Assisting the Director of Operations with all elements on event planning, Mary’s role includes venue management, catering, maintaining guest lists, mailings and related logistical coordination. Prior to joining the Trust, Mary worked within the DCU Access Service in Student Support & Development as Access Administrator. Mary holds qualifications in Administration, Event Management & PR, Photography and Web design.
Ms Sinead Murphy

Sinéad Murphy joined the DCU Educational Trust in January 2017. As Communications Manager, she is responsible for the development and implementation of communications strategy to promote the vision of the organisation and its role in support of the University’s strategic objectives. Sinéad works closely with the Director of Operations to maintain and develop the Trust’s online presence, marketing materials and publications. Prior to joining the Trust, Sinéad worked in communication roles with a variety of organisations in the not-for-profit sector including Northside Partnership and the Irish Local Development Network. She holds a BA in Applied Languages and an MA in International Relations from DCU, a Diploma in Web Design from Dublin Business School and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
Mr Plunkett Tormay

Plunkett Tormay ACA CTC joined the DCU Educational Trust in April 2014. As Head of Finance Plunkett has responsibility for all financial aspects of DCUET. His role includes the preparation of management accounts, budgets and year end financial statements for the Trust. Plunkett is also required to support the DCUET management team through the timely and accurate production of financial reports and information, including fundraising progress reports and monthly budget monitor. Prior to joining the DCUET, Plunkett worked in a Big 4 accountancy firm and trained in Mazars as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Consultant. Plunkett is a proud member of the DCU Alumni, being part of the inaugural class of International Relations (BA) before proceeding to complete a Professional Diploma in Accounting.

Claire Whelehan joined the DCU Educational Trust in September 2005. Her current role as Director of Philantropy is to develop and maintain a portfolio of individual, corporate and foundation relationships. Claire works closely with the Chief Executive to further the mission and objectives of the university through external funding and offers guidance in establishing and implementing a wide range of advancement policies and procedures. Claire has over 16 years of experience in development and alumni relations, within the education sector. Claire came to DCU from The Roxbury Latin School in the United States, where she was Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. Prior to that Claire worked as a Development Assistant at the Harvard College Fund. Claire originally hails from Dundalk and holds a BA in Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Ulster
