Biographical Details

I am a Lecturer in the School of Education Studies at Dublin City University and Director of the International Centre for Innovation and Workplace Learning. Previously I taught at post-primary level education for 15 years. My subjects include Music and Performing Arts, RE, Art, English, SPHE and Spanish. I have also worked in industry and training. I currently chair the Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT and the Knowledge Society programme for African Leaders. I also coordinate and teach on the Masters in Education and Training Management (eLearning) programme and on a specialist module on the MSc. in Guidance and Counseling programme. I supervise Masters and PhD research students particularly in the area of multimedia artefact development and technology innovation and leadership in the workplace. At undergraduate level, I coordinate and teach on the Teaching Methodologies module for Science, Maths, PE and Biology and act as Teaching Practice supervisor.  I am passionate about teaching and learning and have been nominated for DCU's President's Award for Teaching and Learning Excellence each year since 2009.
