The IICRR will host the Fifth Annual Conference of the International Association for Peace and Conflict Studies and the ECPR Standing Group on Critical Peace and Conflict Studies at DCU, Glasnevin Campus. This year’s conference entitled 'Mobilities, Peace, and Conflict: Exploring the nexus between mobility, international peacebuilding, and (in)security’ brings together a number of leading international peace scholars to discuss pressing issues related to human mobility, transnational insecurities, and peacebuilding efforts. The conference this year is organised by DCU’s Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction (IICRR) in conjunction with the University of Manchester and will take place at DCU’s Glasnevin campus during 15th and 16th September 2016.
Keynotes this year will be delivered by two distinct scholars: Dr Debbie Lisle from Queen's University Belfast and Prof. Annika Bjorkdahl from Lund University. We have also included in the programme a policy roundtable with distinguished speakers from the European Commission and Irish-based NGOs and scholars, who will discuss EU's framework for countering hybrid threats. There will be also a book launch during the conference proceedings.
